Award winning watercolorist Carl Wood draws his inspiration from the water - lakes, rivers, bays and oceans - where he has spent most of his life. His work is deeply intimate allowing the viewer to share a subtly altered personal reality that captures the beauty of reflective light from sky and water. This spiritual quality, captured uniquely by the properties of watercolor, is influenced by Donald Holden. His professional training includes drawing, oil painting and watercolor at The Art League School in Alexandra, VA and design at the International Institute of Interior Design in Washington D.C. Mr. Wood currently lives on the Chesapeake Bay in Solomons Island, Maryland. Along with private collections, his work is being shown at CalvArt Gallery in Prince Frederick, Maryland and Annemarie Garden in Solomons Island
